Al-Furqaan School was established to better serve the demands of our growing Muslim communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. We specialize in teaching the formal Arabic language, the honorable Qur’an, and most importantly, the Islamic religious knowledge. Moreover, we teach our students about the seerah (life) of Prophet Muhammad, Islamic manners, and provide them guidance which will help maintain their Muslim identity.

 

 

Our emphasis is on conveying the most authentic Islamic knowledge, along with moderation. Our Islamic Studies books cover the various subjects in Islam, from the belief, to the acts of worship, to the Islamic manners. In addition, The Islamic History Series run the student through the timeline of Islam, starting from the first creation, to the life of the Prophet and his companions. Moreover, these books have been reviewed and approved by the prestigious University of al-Azhar, and are widely used by Islamic schools around the world, in various languages.

When it comes to teaching Qur’an, it is important to note that the Qur’an was revealed in the most proper Arabic, and we must preserve it as it was revealed. Hence, we teach our students to properly articulate the letters, know when to stop or continue, and apply the tajweed rules.
